Guest artists Megan Ihnen, mezzo-soprano, and Jason Buckwalter, baritone, along with pianist Andrew Stewart will provide an evening of new works for solo voice.

AN DIE MUSIK in Baltimore, Maryland On Friday, November 20th, 2009 at 8:00 P.M.

ADMLive logo The Baltimore Composers Forum presents Pictures on Silence, featuring harpist Jacqueline Pollauf and saxophonist Noah Getz. The program features brand-new works composed specifically for this exciting and innovative ensemble.

The directions to An die Musik are: from I-95 in Maryland, take I-395 N via exit 53 toward downtown. I-395 N becomes S Howard St. Then turn right onto W Mulberry St./US-40 E. and then take a left onto N Charles St. Charles Street is the main corridor running through Baltimore City, separating the east side of town from the west. Baltimore Street separates north from south. An die Musik is 4 blocks north of Baltimore Street. An Die Musik is seven blocks north from Harborplace and two blocks south of the Washington Monument, The Peabody Institute of Music and The Walters Art Gallery. There is metered parking on the street. No charge after 6pm or on Sunday. A pay parking lot is around the corner from us. Make a left on Franklin St. An Die Musik faces the back entrance to the Cathedral of the Assumption. The front of the Cathedral faces the Enoch Pratt Free Library. freefall logoSound in Motion II, a production part of Free Fall Baltimore, is an exciting collaboration between the Baltimore Composers Forum and choreographers Algernon Campbell, Madi Jackson, Lynne Price, Sonia Synkowski and Lauren Withhart. The program will feature new works by Baltimore Composers Forum members: Ljiljana Jovanovic, Vivian Adelberg Rudow, Ariyo Shahry, George Spicka, Mark Williams and Keith Kramer. This dramatic synthesis of dance and music will be performed at the Baltimore Museum of Art on October 31st 2009 at 1 P.M. Admission is free. ADMLive logo The Baltimore Composers Forum will be featuring Sound on Sound: In Memoriam, Stephen Makofski, featuring works by Stephen Makofski, John Belkot, James Brody, Benny Russell, Ariyo Shahry, George Spicka and Mark Williams. Performers include Jason Buckwalter, Elizabeth Honeyman, David LaVorgna, Isabella Mensz, Kaitlin Pucci, Joseph Satava, Barbara Bair, Fiona SparksRuth Rose and Andrew Stewart. The performance will be held at An die Musik on Thursday, March the 5th at 8:00. The performance is free, but a donation of $15 is encouraged.

Franz West workSound OFF!, was a commission by The Baltimore Museum of Art to Baltimore Composers Forum members: Keith Kramer, Vivian Adelberg Rudow, and Benjamin Russell to compose music for the Franz West Exhibition at The Baltimore Museum of Art during the SOUND OFF! EVENT. Performers: Tim Anderson, cello; Benny Russell, saxophone; and Todd Simon, piano. Adelberg Rudow was curator for Baltimore Composers Forum.
